Dr. Md. Farhad Ahmed

Dr. Md. Farhad Ahmed is a highly skilled neurosurgeon with extensive experience in treating complex brain, spine, and nerve disorders. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital, he is committed to delivering advanced surgical care using the latest techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

He completed his MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College under Dhaka University in 2008, followed by an MS in Neurosurgery from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (BSMMU) in 2020. Dr. Farhad has further enhanced his expertise through prestigious fellowships at Fujita Health University Bantane Hospital, Japan, and specialized training in Skull Base Surgery at the Ramaiah Advanced Learning Centre, Bengaluru, India.

“He has completed a fellowship at one of the largest neurosurgical institutes in the world, Fudan University Hospital, Shanghai, China, specializing in cerebrovascular bypass surgery.”

Dr. Farhad’s areas of specialization include brain trauma surgery, neuro-oncosurgery (brain tumors), neurovascular surgery (including aneurysms and AVMs), skull base surgery, paediatric neurosurgery, spine surgery, endoscopic and awake craniotomy, and endovascular neurosurgery. He is known for his patient-first approach and compassionate care, focusing on treating challenging neurosurgical conditions with precision and empathy.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Farhad is actively involved in research and has presented his work at international conferences, highlighting his dedication to advancing neurosurgical knowledge and improving patient care.
